We are offering 3 main packages: 
  1. Hello! Package: First Steps+ HelloWeb! (9 meetings).
  2. Value Package: Hello! Package + Facebook + Instant Messaging + Games + Online Shopping (16 meetings).
  3. Ultimate Package: Hello! Package+ Value Package + Files & Folders + Word + PowerPoint + Excel (37 meetings).
The packages offers participant to build their knowledge gradually, step by step and will help them to create a strong and solid knowledge base.   

There are three class’s sizes available:
  1. Private class: 1 participant.
  2. Semi- private class: 2-4 participants.
  3. Mini class: 5-7 participants.

First Steps- Introduction to the Computer

  • What are the main computer’s components?
  • What is Windows?
  • How to use the keyboard and mouse?
Participants gain familiarity with operating the computer and working with Windows. 
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   3 meetings 
Prerequisite:  No prior knowledge required!

Hello Web! - Introduction to the Internet

  • What is the internet all about? 
  • What is a web browser and how to use it? 
  • How to find information on the web?
  • How to use email?
Participants surf, search the web, create and use a personal email account.
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   6 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps

Facebook

An introduction to Facebook- the hottest social network on the web.
  • How to open a Facebook account?
  • Introduction to the most popular Facebook applications.
Participants open a Facebook account, share information and keep in touch with family and friends.
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   2 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps, Hello Web!

Instant Messaging- A real time communication 

An introduction to Instant Messaging applications: Messenger and Skype.
  • How to create a Messenger and Skype account?
  • How to create and manage a contact list? 
  • How to exchange text messages with other contacts in real time (chats)?
  • How to make audio and video calls?
Participants communicate in real time with family and friends through chats and video calls.
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   3 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps, Hello Web!

Games- An introduction to the rich world of online gaming.

  • How to find online games?
  • Introduction to different game genres (board, card, puzzle, and more). 
  • Introduction to popular online game sites.
Participants learn how to find games and play on the internet. 
Class Format: 1.5 hours  
Duration:   1 meeting
Prerequisite: First Steps, Hello Web!

Online Shopping

  • How does online shopping work? 
  • What can we buy online? 
  • How to find items and how to pay for them?
  • How to shop safely?
Participants learn how to shop safely on the internet. 
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   1 meeting
Prerequisite: First Steps, Hello Web!

Files & Folders- Storing and retrieving data

  • How is the data organized on the computer? 
  • All about files and folders. 
  • External drives (Camera, DVD, Disk on Key). 
Participants save files, download pictures from a camera, and burn DVD’s. 
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:   3 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps

Word

  • Entering and editing text. 
  • Cut, Copy and Paste. 
  • Formatting, adding pictures, tables and more. 
Participants write letters and prepare and format documents (e.g.: create greeting cards).  
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:  6 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps, Files & Folders

PowerPoint

  • How to create a presentation (slide-show) using Microsoft PowerPoint? 
  • Create and edit slides.
  • Apply designs and adding objects.
  • Custom animation, slides transition, and sound effects. 
Participants create a Personal PowerPoint presentation (e.g. : slideshow  of vacation memories)
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:  6 meetings 
Prerequisite: First Steps, Files & Folders, Word

Excel

  • Introduction to Excel’s basic terminology and workspace.
  • Entering and editing data.
  • Modifying and Formatting worksheet.
  • Using basic functions. 
Participants have a solid understanding of the basic functionality of Excel, and become familiar with simple, but essential, tools.
Class Format: 1.5 hours 
Duration:  6 meetings

Free Time

Free time is the perfect time for practice and fun.
An instructor and Computers will be available for students who want an extra computer and online time. 
During free time people can: practice, ask questions, surf the net, play games, create and edit documents, and more. 
Practice leads to success. More practice and more computer time will lead to greater and more successful assimilation of the computer into the seniors' daily life. 
 

Train your brain

A new class specifically designed and created for people who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other cognitive decline. 
The class is based on unique computer software that offers mental stimulating exercises.
Our program offers challenging, interesting and fun tasks in four different areas including:
  • Cognition Math
  • Language
  • Shapes 
  • Memory Games
The software in use has been proven to positively affect the memory of adults who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia. The program can be adjusted for each and every person, ensuring that it suits their competence level, as well as their interests.
Class Format: one-on-one meetings, at your own pace
Duration: unlimited
Prerequisite: NO prior knowledge required!

Introduction to iPad and "iPad time"

 what is an iPad, how to use it and an introduction to the world of Apps. 
we are also offering an iPad time: a small group session (up to 5 people)- learning, playing, introducing and discussing new Apps, and much more.
